ClevermarkIQ (the "Service") is provided by Aereo Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "ClevermarkIQ"). By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. They are an agreement between you, as a student, and Aereo Labs Ltd.
ClevermarkIQ is an AI-powered study platform offered directly to university and adult students in the UK aged 18 or over. It provides an AI tutor, quizzes with automated marking, study notes by module, AI-generated study packs and a revision planner. The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini) to answer questions, generate questions, grade free-text answers and produce study materials.
Accounts are not open to the public. We create each account ourselves after checking that the person is a student (for example a university email address, or a student card or offer letter that we look at but do not keep).
Age. The Service is only for people aged 18 or over. When you ask for an account you confirm that you are 18 or over, and we record the date of that confirmation with your account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its data.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of what you put into the Service: your notes, your answers, your questions to the tutor and anything you upload ("Your Content"). You give us a licence to store, copy and process Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you; it ends when Your Content is deleted. Aereo Labs Ltd is the data controller of your personal data, as explained in our Privacy & Data page. You must only upload content you have the right to use.
ClevermarkIQ owns the Service software, design, branding and proprietary question banks supplied by ClevermarkIQ. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service during the term of the contract.
Output produced by the AI model (questions, grades, feedback, study packs) is made for your own study. You may use it for your personal, non-commercial study. Check it before you rely on it, for example for coursework or exam preparation.
Anyone who believes content on the Service infringes their copyright or other rights, or is unlawful or harmful, can report it to [email protected] with the subject "Content report". Please say where the content appears, why it should be removed, and how we can reach you. We will review each report promptly, tell the account holder concerned where appropriate, and remove or disable access to the content where appropriate.
The Service uses large-language-model AI (currently Google Gemini) to grade free-text answers, generate questions and produce summaries. AI output may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, biased interpretations, or omissions. AI scores and feedback are a study aid: they do not replace your course materials, your lecturers or your university's own marking, and they are not an official grade. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
We take reasonable care to keep the Service available, but it may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Vercel, Google Gemini), or causes outside our control. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you about planned maintenance in advance.
The price of the Service and what it includes are shown to you before you pay. If we change the price, we will tell you by email at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect; if you do not want to continue at the new price, you can end your account under section 9.2 before then. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to cancel, are not affected.
If you pay for the Service, you can cancel within 14 days of the day you pay, without giving a reason. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, write to us at [email protected] saying you want to cancel; you can use Cancel plan in Profile, or any clear message. We refund you within 14 days of your message, to the same way you paid, at no cost to you.
The paid Service only starts during those 14 days if you ask us to start it straight away. If you do and then cancel, we may keep a fair part of the price for the days you already had; you get the rest back. Free plans have nothing to refund.
These terms apply from first use of the Service until terminated by either party.
You can stop using the Service at any time. Before you go, you can download a copy of your data in JSON from Profile → Your data. You can delete your account there yourself, or ask us at [email protected]. A deleted account is paused for 30 days: to keep it, sign in before then and choose Keep my account. After that, the account and everything stored with it are deleted for good, except the short record of account actions described in our Privacy & Data page.
ClevermarkIQ may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breach of these terms, suspected unlawful use, security risk, or non-payment of any fees that may apply. Where possible, ClevermarkIQ will give prior notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (GBP 100). We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses: the Service is for your personal study.
You are responsible for Your Content and for using the Service lawfully. If you upload content that infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law, we may remove it and, for serious or repeated cases, close the account under section 9.3. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
ClevermarkIQ may update these terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect; if you do not agree with them, you can end your account under section 9.2 before then. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, except that ClevermarkIQ may bring proceedings to enforce intellectual property rights in any competent jurisdiction.
If a court decides that any part of these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, that part will be removed or limited as little as possible, and the rest of these terms will stay in full force.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if the Service is sold. We will tell you in writing first and make sure the transfer does not reduce your rights; if you are unhappy, you can end your account under section 9.2. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms to anyone else.
